Perspectives Charter Schools — is a network of five free public schools located in different neighborhoods of Chicago, Illinois: Auburn Gresham, Bronzeville, Chatham, and South Loop. They provide quality education for students in grades 6–12, focusing on comprehensive youth development. Founded in 1997 by two teachers, Kim Dey and Diana Shull-Coze, the Perspectives network became one of the first charter schools in Illinois. Its founders aimed to create an educational environment that not only imparted thorough knowledge but also shaped individuals prepared for the challenges of the modern world.

A distinctive feature of this network is the unique program «A Disciplined Life®». It includes 26 core principles aimed at developing positive self-perception, building healthy interpersonal relationships, and increasing student productivity. The program combines academic rigor with social-emotional learning, helping to foster not only successful students but also responsible citizens. Thanks to this approach, Perspectives creates an environment of trust, mutual respect, intellectual curiosity, and high achievement.

The Perspectives Charter Schools include five schools: Rodney D. Joslin Campus, Perspectives Middle Academy, Perspectives High School of Technology, Perspectives Leadership Academy, and Perspectives/IIT Math & Science Academy. The Rodney D. Joslin Campus is one of the most well-known in the network, largely due to its architectural design created by Perkins+Will. This campus was where the famous basketball player Anthony Davis studied, who is now an NBA star.
Social responsibility is an important part of Perspectives' activities. Students actively participate in initiatives aimed at solving social problems, particularly through the «I Am For Peace» program. This campaign, initiated by students themselves, seeks to combat violence in Chicago communities. Every June, students organize a peaceful march, demonstrating their commitment to non-violence, equality, and social justice.

Perspectives Charter Schools exemplify how an innovative approach to education can change young people's lives, shaping a new generation of responsible and socially active citizens.
