The structure is made of white marble in the neoclassical style. The fountain is decorated with numerous sculptures of marine creatures — lions, turtles, dolphins — from the mouths of which water spurts. In the center of the water feature stands the main jet, rising to a height of up to 14 meters. Behind the fountain is the statue of James Scott himself, who surveys the surroundings of the Detroit River with his gaze.
