Hanover Winery opened its doors in 2009 as the only winery in Butler County. Owners Eddie and Elizabeth decided to turn a decade-long passion into a business. The existing farm building, which was used as a hobby shed, was renovated and transformed into the current tasting room. The large adjacent building where the wine is produced was built with the help of friends and family.
The demand for wine from Hanover Winery grew, allowing the addition of more space for expanding the vineyard and creating a large parking lot for guests. The expansion of the production area was completed in 2016 along with the parking lot entrance, located at the back of the winery with a short pedestrian path to the tasting room and winery grounds.
The winery and vineyard have become a big part of life, so the owners live and work on the farm, blending business with pleasure, which allows for quality time with family and friends, as well as with the winery puppies.
Events are held throughout the year, including outdoor events when possible. Weekend events with live music are offered, as well as special events like the annual summer wine festival in August. Due to the nature of the business, the winery is open to guests over 21 years old. Hanover Winery offers a wide selection of wines, with over 25 varieties available today, ranging from dry to dessert wines.
