Great American Ball Park is a baseball stadium in Cincinnati, serving as the home field for the Major League Baseball team Cincinnati Reds. The stadium opened on March 31, 2003, replacing Cinergy Field (formerly Riverfront Stadium), which had been the Reds' home from 1970 to 2002.
Design and Construction
Great American Ball Park was designed by architectural firms HOK Sport (now Populous) and GBBN with an estimated cost of $290 million. It is located between the former site of Riverfront Stadium and Heritage Bank Center. Due to limited space, construction required partial demolition of Cinergy Field, which was completely demolished on December 29, 2002.

Features and Interesting Facts
The scoreboard at Great American Ball Park, measuring 215 feet (66 meters) by 40 feet (12 meters), is the ninth largest in Major League Baseball. The original scoreboard was built by Trans-Lux in 2003, and in 2009, a new LED scoreboard and HD screen from Daktronics were installed.
If a Reds player hits a "Hit Me" sign between the Power Stacks in right field, a random fan wins a red Toyota Tundra pickup truck worth approximately $31,000, located atop an elevator shaft about 500 feet (150 meters) from home plate.
On the west side of the stadium is the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, which celebrates the team's history through galleries and multimedia exhibits. The Hall of Fame has existed since 1958 but did not have its own building until the stadium's opening.
Adjacent to the stadium and the Hall of Fame is a rose garden, symbolizing Pete Rose’s record-breaking 4,192nd hit, located where the ball landed on the Riverfront stadium field.

Fan Amenities
In the 2015 season, Great American Ball Park became the first MLB stadium to feature a suite dedicated specifically for mothers to feed and care for their children. The suite includes rocking chairs, changing stations, restrooms, a kitchen, a refrigerator, lockers, and televisions broadcasting the game.
Sports Betting
In the 2023 season, the Reds partnered with BetMGM Sportsbook to introduce sports betting at the stadium. The BetMGM Sportsbook at Great American Ball Park is located in the Machine Room and includes three betting windows, 15 self-service kiosks, as well as a bar and food options.
