If we recall the true purpose of the Audi brand, it is easily associated with sports and luxury. Offering over 40 different model options for fleets, Audi has no problem developing cars for all types of consumers. The 2024 Audi S6 is a fantastic way to get around, but not only because of its luxurious appearance; its level of comfort and power are simply extraordinary.
The four-door, five-seat luxury sedan is equipped with a proven 2.9-liter twin-turbo TFSI V-6 engine that produces 444 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Paired with an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive system, this smooth powerful sedan provides ample resources for both the road and passengers. Thanks to this combination, there was no shortage of power, and fuel consumption during our week-long test was over 22 miles per gallon.
On 21-inch wheels with a V-shaped design, the Audi S6 rode comfortably and was very attractive to people meeting it with glances. The interior features all the amenities typical of Audi. Dual screens serving the infotainment system and climate control were very easy to use. With technological developments, these elements can easily become outdated, so it was nice to see that Audi sticks to what works. The Prestige package costing $8,200 includes safety features such as a remote parking assistance system and intersection movement assist, HD Matrix LED headlights with animation for front and rear lights, power-operated doors, and a windshield display. The S Sport package, also present in our test, includes dynamic steering with all-wheel drive, red brake calipers, sporty exhaust system, and sport rear differential.
Audi has always been the middle child in the Volkswagen group, with VW at a more basic level and Porsche at a higher level. Since Audi is in the middle, the combination of sport and luxury inherent to their brothers and sisters is easily observable in their models, but with the fleet of S models at a premier level, it is hard to distinguish. S6 is a fantastic option for passengers, families, and speed enthusiasts. With a starting price of over $70,000, additional power certainly brings satisfaction, but comfort is what stands out the most.
